Protesting Corporate Tax cuts in Ottawa at a $600 a plate BREAKFAST McGuinty fundraiser.  6 am is a bit early for me but it made getting irritable sooo much easier!!

Wow!!  It was a General Membership meeting to remember as 95 people crammed into the MCB cafeteria on Feb. 24/10 to conduct elections and do the locals business.  Thanks to everyone for coming out despite the Russia-Canada hockey game!  Albert Belo, Elaine Doherty, Debbie Byers and Faith MacDonald all won Visa gift cards just for coming and hanging in to help us out.  Congrats!

It was also great to see so many new faces come out and make the night so sucessful.  Dont be afraid to tell us how we can improve these events!  E-mail us at

On Wednesday, March 10th the Local Executive Committee met for the first time with many of the new stewards in attendance.  We covered alot of ground that day and it was great to have new ideas and perspectives at the table.  We currently have 7 new stewards on board and their pictures will be put up in the Local executive section as we secure their “mugshot”!  The Local Executive Committee meets the second Wednesday of every month at 275 Bagot Street, Suite 307.
